Eve Fatz

I have been active in sports most of my life, starting with gymnastics and continuing with cheerleading, volleyball and both water and snow skiing. After graduating with my BA in Sociology/Criminology from the University of Montana, I married and began building a career as a Portfolio Manager in the financial services industry. Although I had always stayed active, after years of a demanding career in finances I found myself in sub-optimal shape. Looking for a way to regain my athleticism, I began training in American boxing and San Shou kickboxing.  I thrived in an aggressive, unconventional training environment. However, after moving from Houston to Coeur d’ Alene, I once again was on the hunt for a challenging way to get in shape. I found CrossFit and suddenly found myself, in my mid-thirties, stronger and in better shape than I had ever been in my life! I have always had a strong interest in eating healthy and I strive to stay active and in good health for myself and my family. While enjoying my years as a stay at home mom, I spent my free-time coaching and expanding my knowledge in the CrossFit methodology.  I found my passion in coaching and take great pride in seeing my clients achieve their far reaching fitness goals.  I take a personal interest in each member of the Lotus community and I am committed to providing my clients with elite level coaching by constantly expanding my knowledge.

Patrick stumbled upon CrossFit in 2008 while preparing for an upcoming season of wildland firefighting.  After years of limited progress in his strength and conditioning, CrossFit opened the floodgates to information and methodologies that allow him to make great strides in his performance and understanding of overall health.  He is eager to share with others what helps him so much.

Dan grew up in New York and began lifting weights in his basement when he was a kid. When he turned 18, he moved to Montana, attended College, and became kind of a, "Gym Rat." Lifting weights and running compromised his fitness program for years.
After getting his degree in Business Management, Dan's career path changed and he found himself interested in Law Enforcement. He became a cop in 1996 and continued with basically the same fitness routine. Dan always stayed in good shape, which was a necessity for his career. However, the real fitness improvement he was looking for seemed to be an evasive goal. After a while of what seemed like just routine fitness maintenance, a change was in order.
In 2009, Dan found CrossFit and gave it a try, it seemed like it may be a good fit. The first WOD he did was, "Karen," which left him slurring his words and exhausted for hours....he loved it, he has been hooked since!  The challenges of CrossFit, the Lifestyle, and its Methodology are inspiring and motivating to him. CrossFit has produced greater results, in a short amount of time, than anything he did at the old gyms.  CrossFit has changed Dan's workouts, diet, and lifestyle. He is in better shape now that he does CrossFit than he has ever been in. CrossFit has become a family adventure as well. On any given day you may see his wife, Sue, and kids, Jake and Alyssa at the box doing a WOD.
In April, Lotus gave Dan the opportunity to become a coach and share his love for fitness with others. He found this rewarding and it keeps him where he loves to be....AT THE BOX!

A collegiate softball player turned runner, a runner turned triathlete, a triathlete turned two-time Ironman, and inevitably, an Ironman turned Crossfitter. The progression of my athletic history is a clear demonstration of my love for leading an active and healthy life. After four years of collegiate softball I found myself tired of squatting behind a plate and eager to take on the challenge of long distance running. Throughout graduate school, I spent my time running long distance races and realized that yet again I was bored of the same old thing day in and day out. This motivated me to get into triathlons. I began racing Olympic distance triathlons and yet again found myself wanting more. In 2009, I raced my first Ironman and took 3rd in my age group with a 12:01 finish. I decided that 12:01 was the time to beat so I raced Ironman Coeur d’ Alene again in 2010 and finished with an 11:22 earning me the 2nd  fastest female in Kootenai County. In August of 2011, we had our son Brooks. Wouldn’t you know it that 4 weeks after his birth I was hiking and jogging eager to get back in action. I spent the next five months on a treadmill, in a pool, and on my bike willing my body to transform back into pre-baby shape. IT WASN’T HAPPENING! I knew that something needed to change, I needed a change, and my body needed a change. Crossfit was the answer.

I believe I have made it clear that health and wellness is a passion of mine, however I cannot say it is my one and only. I am a teacher. I am obsessed with teaching. I am in love with helping people set goals and then obtain those goals. It doesn’t matter if I am teaching an 8-year-old multiplication or a 40-year-old how to front squat, I have one plan in mind- success.

Today I am a Crossfitter, a triathlete, a teacher, a Momma, a wife, and a coach. These are not separate entities in my life. In fact, they all work together to make me better at all of them.  I am here to change lives, it may hurt and you may hate me in the moment but I promise when you go home and have that Paleo Block dinner you will smile, knowing that you are doing it, you are making your life better and those lives around you. That’s what Crossfit does and that’s what I will help you do.

    Mitchell Sanchez

Throughout my life I have been passionate about sports. In high-school I played basketball and baseball and have always been an avid runner. After high-school I dabbled in long distance running and biking and completed a couple of local triathlons. I had heard about CrossFit but it wasn’t until I stumbled upon the CrossFit Games on TV, that I knew that it was something I wanted to be a part of.  As soon as I joined, there was no turning back. I have never had so much fun working out before and I quickly became stronger than I ever have been. My hope as a trainer is to help people find the fun in the workouts like I do, and to see that all the pain and sweat is worth it in order to become a fitter and stronger you.
