Jim and I just wanted you to know how much FUN we are having at Lotus!!!! It has been the best 30 days of learning new things, challenging ourselves physically, eating healthier, getting great coaching, meeting new people, feeling encouraged, and soooooo many more things!! Best of all Jim and I are doing it together and since we kind of like eachother it has been even better! You have put together an awesome program and we are very inspired by you and your staff.
Just know Eve, that all your hard work and dedication is paying off with your clients. We are "Happy CrossFit Addicted Middle-aged Stud Want-A-Be's"..... And we know we can do it!!
Hugs and a few "Pull Ups",

My husband has tried to get me to go the gym with him for 18 years. I was never interested. Not until I met Eve when she was getting ready to open Lotus Crossfit. Somehow she made Crossfit seem like even I could do it. I agreed to 'show up' and go through Foundations. The first session I was wondering if I had lost my mind by signing up, but there seemed to be a few others there struggling just as much as I was. I thought if they could get through it, I could too. In a sick sort of way I way I started to enjoy it. It was like the realization hit me smack in the face......I get it....I finally get it!!! I know why people love Crossfit! It was during that time that I realized that I really needed to be doing this.
There were times I drove to class with knots in my stomach with worry that it would be too much for me. Somehow I always manage to get through it and feel good when the WOD is over. Instead of feeling negative about what I can't do, I look at it as a starting point.....it can only get better from here. I have lost pounds and inches, and gained strength and a new 'family' that is supportive and fun!
I am really happy to be a part of the Lotus Crossfit community! The benefits have already exceeded my expectations. (Not to mention how happy my hubby is now that I enjoy working out with him!)
I have always been Interested in Crossfit but thought there is no way I could ever do it. I assumed Crossfit was for extremely fit and athletic people which i am not. I joined Lotus Crossfit in September with my best friend Terry. I am absolutely amazed at my transformation!!! I have lost a lot of weight but more importantly, I have become so strong. I never thought I could dead lift 175lbs, or shoulder press 75lbs. Eve and Patrick are incredible trainers. I cannot thank them enough!
I love that Lotus Crossfit offers a wide variety of classes like yoga, mobility, skills and kids classes. My kids count down the days until their next Crossfit class and my husband is amazed at how strong he has become.
Eve, thank you for opening Lotus Crossfit, you have given me the most amazing gift of endurance, strength, self esteem and a great group of friends.
I started Crossfit on October 10, 2011 taking the foundations classes
and then moving into regular classes. At age 54, I was 50 days post op
from back surgery so yes I was a little concerned. However, one of the
benefits was how you modified my Crossfit workouts to my level of
fitness. Since that time I have seen significant changes in my body.
I've lost 10 inches of unwanted fat (20 pounds)and gained muscle. More
significant to me was the results of a recent "wellness" exam. My blood
work showed drops to normal ranges in blood sugar & cholesterol. My
blood pressure has dropped 30 points (now 110/72) and frankly I feel
Another huge benefit to me from Crossfit is the fact my wife Val has
also joined and has seen the same results. The atmosphere of your gym is
one of friendship and a willingness to help others improve. Yes
Crossfit is hard work, but it is certainly doable and the results are
very apparent within the first 60 days if you make the commitment. Val
calls it PE for adults and I agree.
Thanks for making Val & I part of the Lotus Crossfit community.
At the risk of sounding overly dramatic, Lotus CrossFit has changed my life. I have a list of reasons, but I can sum them up by saying that I turn 52 this month and I feel healthier, younger and all around better than I have in at least ten years. A recent medical wellness visit corroborated the way I feel; all my health numbers: weight, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, etc., have improved.
Also, the Lotus team just started another nutrition and fitness challenge and I am genuinely excited to be involved. The enthusiasm, excitement and success I am experiencing at Lotus never happened with other nutrition or workout plans. Diet restrictions and increasing workout intensity/ frequency programs did not work in tandem, and ultimately, always failed individually. In the first “Lotus Zone” nutrition and fitness challenge I participated in, I lost about 11 pounds, and even more to the health point, my body composition changed and I am stronger than I have been in decades.
The effective combination of challenging workouts, nutrition and community offered at Lotus seems to be the key to success for me. The Lotus coaches are all reasons I enthusiastically return every day. Eve and Patrick, push all to work to our highest levels, both in intensity and correct form-above all! Additional yoga and mobility sessions with Amy and Brian enhance the intensity of the work outs and help keep the pain “suck” to a tolerable level. And the coaching staff keeps growing: I am looking forward to learning from Lauren, who, as a fellow Lotus athlete, has already giving me some good cross fit tips.
I have miles to go to meet my fitness goals, but thanks to Eve and the Lotus CrossFit community, I am confident that I will get there.
Awesome!!!! I love it! I have never loved working out so much. The encouragement, enthusiasm and heart of the Lotus members is so inspiring and just fun to be around. Each time I see a WOD, I think, OH Lord, I can't do that. Then I do it! It's an amazing feeling of strength and courage that starts to build inside me each little or big triumph. Thank you Eve (and Casey and all Lotus athletes) for putting your heart and soul into this amazing box! I believe we are all doing so much more than gaining stronger, leaner bodies. It's what is happening to our hearts and souls that is the real meat!!!
